Description

Product Description

This turbine-actuated wafer-type butterfly valve is specified as DN100, meaning its nominal diameter is 100mm. It is precisely designed to be compatible with pipelines of corresponding diameters, enabling accurate control over the transportation of small-to-medium-volume media. The PN16 rating, indicating a nominal pressure of 1.6MPa, ensures stable operation within common medium-pressure pipeline systems.

Featuring a turbine-driven mechanism, this valve operates with minimal effort. By simply rotating the turbine, users can easily open and close the valve and regulate the flow rate, achieving precise control over the medium’s flow volume. The wafer-type connection design allows the valve to be firmly clamped between pipeline flanges using double-ended bolts, making installation quick and simple. Additionally, the valve has a compact structure, with a small size and lightweight design, effectively saving valuable space.

The butterfly plate adopts a center-line design, resulting in minimal fluid resistance and allowing the medium to flow smoothly. The sealing surface is made of high-quality rubber material, which not only provides excellent elasticity and sealing performance to effectively prevent medium leakage but also exhibits superior corrosion resistance, enabling it to adapt to a variety of complex medium environments. This ensures the safe and stable operation of the pipeline system.

Functional Parameters

  1. Nominal Diameter: DN100, corresponding to an actual flow diameter of 100mm, determines the valve’s flow-through capacity and is suitable for pipeline systems with small-to-medium flow requirements.
  2. Nominal Pressure: PN16 (1.6MPa), indicating the maximum pressure the valve can withstand at the specified working temperature, making it suitable for medium-pressure pipeline conditions.
  3. Drive Method: Turbine-driven. Utilizing the worm-gear transmission principle, it achieves a large transmission ratio with low operating torque, facilitating precise control of the valve opening and adjustment of the medium flow rate.
  4. Connection Type: Wafer-type. The valve is clamped between two pipeline flanges using double-ended bolts. It has a small installation size, a compact structure, and is easy to install and disassemble, making it adaptable to different pipeline flange standards.
  5. Butterfly Plate Material: Commonly made of ductile iron or aluminum alloy. Ductile iron offers high strength, good toughness, and corrosion resistance, capable of withstanding high pressure and impact. Aluminum alloy is lightweight and corrosion-resistant, suitable for applications where weight is a concern.
  6. Sealing Surface Material: Primarily high-quality rubber, such as ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EPDM) rubber and nitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR). EPDM is resistant to aging and ozone, making it suitable for media environments such as hot water, steam, weak acids, and weak alkalis. NBR is ideal for oil-based media. The appropriate rubber material should be selected based on the characteristics of the conveyed medium to ensure optimal sealing performance and corrosion resistance.
  7. Applicable Media: Widely applicable to various common media, such as water, steam, air, oil products, and acid-base solutions. By selecting the appropriate material for the butterfly plate and sealing surface, the valve can operate stably under different media conditions, ensuring effective transportation.
  8. Operating Temperature: Varies depending on the rubber material of the sealing surface. With EPDM, the operating temperature range is typically from -40°C to 120°C. With NBR, the range is from -20°C to 80°C, covering the temperature requirements of most conventional working conditions.
  9. Leakage Class: Typically reaches Class VI (zero leakage) according to the ANSI B16.104 standard. Under normal working conditions, the valve effectively prevents medium leakage, ensuring the tightness and safety of the pipeline system and reducing the risk of energy waste and environmental pollution caused by leakage.

Application Fields

  1. Water Supply and Drainage Systems: In urban water supply networks, it is used to control the flow of water in pipelines, ensuring a stable water supply. In sewage treatment plants, it regulates the flow of sewage through various treatment processes, playing a crucial role in water treatment.
  2. HVAC Systems: Applied in heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems to adjust the flow of air or water-based heat transfer media. It helps control the temperature and air circulation in buildings, improving indoor comfort.
  3. Industrial Pipelines: In industries such as petrochemical, chemical, and food and beverage, it is used to control the flow of various media. For example, in petrochemical plants, it can regulate the flow of oil, gas, and chemical raw materials in pipelines. In food and beverage factories, it can manage the flow of water, syrup, and other media, ensuring the smooth operation of production processes.
  4. Power Generation Plants: Used in power plants to control the flow of cooling water, steam, and other media. It is essential for maintaining the stable operation of power-generation equipment and ensuring efficient power generation.
